Dear Au Pairs, The Philippine Embassy and Stichting Bayanihan, Centrum voor Filippijnse Vrouwen in Nederland would like to invite you to an information session & workshop on “Empowering Filipina Au Pairs” on Saturday, 11 December 2010 from 12.30 to 18.30 hrs. in the Embassy of the Philippines in Laan Copes van Cattenburch 125 in The Hague.
Stichting Bayanihan, is a self-help women organisation which aims to advance the participation integration and emancipation of Filipinas through empowerment in the Netherlands. It has been giving support and assistance to the au pairs since 1993 and has been lobbying for years for their protection and welfare. Topics of the day are: gathering of experiences and reflections on one’s situation, rights and obligations of au pairs interpersonal and intimate relationships & insights of POEA on au pairs. There will be workshops & open forum. We will have merienda –cena after the session. Transportation expenses will be reimbursed to the first 25 au pairs who will confirm their participation to this activity. So please bring your train tickets & bus strippen kaarten on December 11. One of the capabilities to empowerment is to have access to information and resources for taking the proper decision in order not to be exploited. We hope to see you on December 11!
